No List? Tell That to the Women Who Testified.

Pam Bondi said the list was on her desk last February. Then DOJ shrugged.

“There is no (Epstein) client list.” - The Department of Justice

When the Department of Justice (DOJ) released its memo on July 7 stating there was no Epstein “client list,” it felt like the DOJ’s denial shouted over every survivor who named names. But institutions like the DOJ and its leaders didn’t always sound so dismissive.

For those that need a refresher about the Jeffery Epstein case and the grand jury charges that ensued, you can read this summary and review the actual federal charges here. Be mindful when reading the charges. The details are disturbing.

Originally, some believed there was an infamous Epstein list that included names of many celebrities, politicians, and other public figures that were associated with and participated in Epstein’s depraved crimes. Others deemed the idea of a list hyperbole or full-on conspiracy theory. Then in February, it seemed to be confirmed. Attorney General Pam Bondi conducted a Fox News interview and when asked if there was a client list, she replied: “It’s sitting on my desk to review. That’s been a directive by President Trump. I’m reviewing that. I’m reviewing…” See that context here.

She then recalled that interview in a cabinet meeting just a few days ago but with a significant walk back:

“I was asked a question about the client list, and my response was, ‘It’s sitting on my desk to be reviewed’ — meaning the files…” Watch more about that here.

Bondi framed the material a few days ago as an “overall investigatory file,” but her earlier words left many expecting concrete names and serious action. Instead, what emerged was more silence.

Why do I go into all of this detail about this atrocious waffle? Because when it comes down to it, this retraction of sorts increases the shame and stigma of mental health among the survivors. The people that we all should be concerned about the most. See some of what the survivors said about the horror they experienced.

Real Quotes from Witnesses:

"What happened to me wasn’t a conspiracy theory." — Epstein survivor, courtroom testimony

"I said his name. I gave them dates. I was called a liar."

"There are too many of us for this to keep getting erased."

Why This Feels Like a Slap in the Face: 😠

What Survivors Said (Direct Quotes)

What the DOJ Did

“My whole life revolved around just pleasing these men and keeping Ghislaine and Jeffrey happy.”

“It’s on my desk.” - AG Pam Bondi

“There is no client list.” - DOJ

“I was passed around like a platter of fruit.”

They quietly changed the narrative.

“I told them names, places - they did nothing.”

The process protected reputations, not people.

This isn’t just about Epstein who did horrific crimes to women and children. It’s about the systems that still decide whose pain matters.

Until survivors are treated like more than a public relations problem that needs to be covered up,

the silence will keep echoing louder than any memo

and mental health stigma will continue to grow.

What You Can Do Now

  • Write the Attorney General Pam Bondi by contacting her here asking her to do a full press conference providing more context and details. The survivors deserve that at a minimum.

  • Write your representatives asking they demand clarity about the waffling discrepancy.

Thank you all for coming along this journey.

Until next Friday, come back…be here.
